This is a love letter to bodies that move, hesitate, and dare. To the ones who've never performed, and the ones who've done it before and still feel the fear. To chosen family, to community, to talent that hasn't been seen yet.
Love Splash is a volunteer-run, non-profit, self-organized community event at Les Grandes Carmes, a venue that has become iconic for the Brussels queer community.
It is a night built for any pole dancers who are new to performing and looking for a stage where we can conquer insecurity together. We're not looking for the most polished routine. We're looking for people who want to share something creative, and grow.
The theme for the evening is Brussels, in the broadest sense. A memory, a neighbourhood, a piece of Brussels weirdness with all its chaos. The dirty, the surreal, the tender, with room for all of us misfits. Do with the theme what you want. There's a lot of normbreaking talent in this city, and we want to see it.
When curating the lineup, we will prioritise applications that help us showcase some of the diversity of the queer and pole dancing scenes. Priority will be given to applicants who are fresh to the stage, who have developed a creative proposal, and who are available for the rehearsal dates. We will also strive to showcase the diversity of our queer and pole communities, including strippers, sex workers, and POC.

19:00: Doors open
20:00: Welcome round 1 and pole performance block 1
20:45: Break
21:15: Welcome round 2 and pole performance block 2
22:00: DJ and open pole jam* (*only open for sober polers who have removed any jewelry)
23:00: DJ sets and dancing
01:00: End
All performers must join at least one of two rehearsal dates on Sunday 4th or Sunday 18th October from 10:00 to 13:00.

A mermaid swimming somewhere between sexy and fun, a little dark, drawn to deep water - never afraid to bring what's underneath up to the surface, for everyone to see. If that fear of stepping on stage sounds familiar, this was built for you too.
