Jens van der Pijl (they/them) is a dancer, performer, and teacher. Jens is originally from the Netherlands, where they graduated from the ArtEZ dance academy. For the past 2.5 years, Jens has been working in France with the renowned Ballet National de Marseille under the direction of (LA)HORDE, and has also been involved in various projects as a freelance dancer, performer, and teacher.

Contemporary dance & floorwork for beginners
In this workshop, we’ll explore some basic techniques and aspects of modern dance and floorwork in a relaxed and accessible way. We’ll start with exercises to get in touch with our bodies and become comfortable with contact with the floor. In floorwork/modern dance, the studio is a kind of technical playground where we can slide, roll and move as smoothly as possible from the floor to a standing position. At the end of the workshop, we’ll work on a short choreography where we can explore the connection with the music and freer movement☀️
The workshop is suitable for anyone, with or without dance experience, who is curious about movement and wants to get to know modern dance in a relaxed way. So come and dance!! 💃🏼

Contemporary dance & floorwork for former lovers
Do you already have some experience with modern dance or floorwork? Did you dance years ago but still feel that itch to get back into it? Then this workshop for former dancers is for you! We’ll refresh the basic techniques in a relaxed and accessible way and reconnect with our bodies and the floor. We’ll focus on coordination and musicality, and above all on rediscovering our love for dance! We’ll be working on various exercises and a short choreography to round off the workshop.
